Him

You are my everything and that’s not all I have to say
You make me smile, you wipe away my tears and YOU make my day.
Through the storms and disasters of life, all I want is you by my side.
So that we can show the world that, ‘US’ being together is nothing to hide.

Your silence is too loud every time I hear it.
Your voice is music to my ears and your smile is a shimmer that makes my inner sparkle, lit.
You make me blush and make my tears evaporate.
Like the contentment of a sparrow after finding its mate.

There’s nothing as important and as stunning as you.
Your eyes are like diamonds that sparkle in the blue.
Your lips are so luscious they make me feel all undone.
Your hair is always glistening like bullion in the sun.
And that look you give, I simply don’t know what to do.
Other than bound and scream and make people go ‘shhhooo’!

I could go on about you and the way you make me feel.
And babe you have always been the ameliorate to make my heart heal.
Being with you makes me feel like my life is systemized and done.
To the world today and forever. I proudly declare that Dearest, YOU are my Number 1.

Figment

Figment of a billion imaginations
Orbiting ’round every sensation
A simple conviction, as it may be
More likely impenetrable belief

Book of stories, fiction and fable
Enough to deceive generations
Inspired, created by many pens
Center of your table, I can’t eat

Speaking to me of the mysteries
They will dispel them as easily
Your gods, your masters, trick
Write their stories, whimsically

If truth is your only desire, please
Listen to the wind, see the trees
Men of the letter who never cease
Figment of imagination, no peace

Graininess

There come’s times
For glimpses when I find
In the glare of a mirror
A lost smile, reddish blonde hair
Looking back at me queerly
Oh, the things I would’ve given
To have been on the other side
Of that reflective glaze
To have seen my life
Before I lived it, in time
Maybe I could’ve saved- you?
Maybe your heart would be scarless?
Maybe you’d still be here today?
Maybe I would’ve changed- everything?
Maybe I would’ve stopped time?
Maybe I would’ve prevented mistakes?
Maybe- I’m just too desperate;
Now, in my heart- far too late?
Why do I visit- me in this way?
Has the child I was, come for healing?
Am I missing messages, he’s o.k.?
Or simply letting go of that pain?
Still- I love who you’ll always be- to me
Oh, how I wish we could sit and visit
In far more than random glimpses
I miss that childish innocents and dreams
That times of yesterdays…stole away

Poem #99

I hated her for so long.
I blamed her for taking the place
that once belonged to me.
I should have been thanking her.

Without knowing it, she saved me
from being devoured by the black
hole beating in your chest.
She threw down the rope and
I grabbed it but she fell into the pit.

I should raise a statue in her honor
because she made life without
feeling like I’m not worthy of love
available to me. She gave me the
clarity I needed but she lost her’s.

I should thank her. Maybe another
one comes in line and saves her
the way she saved me from his
deadly jaws.

Haiku

Tickled

 Some things make you laugh
Maybe fond remembrances
Or being tickled

Dogs

Why do we have dogs?
I think because they love us
Even when we don’t

Enough

I never met you
I read your poetry
And that is enough

Came

Why do you fear us?
We make everything we want
Came to show you how

Whisper

A gentle whisper
A messenger from heaven
Gives more than I asked

Poem #98

She just sat there and
smoked her cigarette
There’s a heavy crown
on her head but she refuses
to take it off for any man.
He was across the room and
her heart was jumping right
out of her chest. She wanted
to drop everything, walk to his
table and tell him how much he
means to her, how much he hurt
her, how much she misses him.
She wanted to feel his arms around
her waist again. She was confused,
on some level even ashamed of how
she felt so she just sat there and
smoked her cigarette.
There’s a heavy crown on her head
but she refuses to take it off for any man.
