Don’t you just love them?

I love jewelry and when I got this little gift I was thrilled. I haven’t taken them off since I got them. They are hand-made in Croatia and I recommend you to check out the instagram page to see more of them.

Mine have these little decorations such as hearts, a bike, a 4 leaf clover etc. I choose the silver and black color myself because it’s easier for me that way to combine them with my clothes. I highly recommend you to purchase some of them if you are a handmade jewelry enthusiast!

The Weeding

I went to my cousin’s weeding this weekend and it was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed spending some time with my family and my little nephew.  So, I don’t know how you do it in other countries and what your traditions are but let me explain a bit about the Croatian traditions. So firstly, some of the guests, mostly the closer family, attend a reception at the groom’s house.

There’s a lot of food, drinks, singing and dancing. Afterwards all of us get into our cars and drive to the bride’s house where another reception is being held. The same thing goes on there. When the bride’s reception is over we go to church and then to the real weeding reception where we have diner, dance, sing and have a great time with our family.

The bride looked amazing. I couldn’t stop looking at her because she was like a princess. Also my little nephew went with us but only to the groom’s reception and yes he did wore a suit. Here are some pictures of the weeding and the weekend that nearly killed me. When I came to Zadar I could barely keep my eyes open and I had to do a presentation for Monday. Well, I’m the one to blame for doing everything last minute haha

Portuguese lectures

Since Friday I forgot how it is to wake up in the morning and not get prepared for a day of running around. I just tried to balance my studying, university and some sort of a social life.

Last week was the week of languages and there were ambassadors and many other important people on my university and we’ve had many lectures about the Spanish and Portuguese language. I didn’t manage to attend many of them but on Friday I had to because they counted as 25% of my grade.

The lectures were about the Portuguese language and I loved them because I love that language and I’m trying really hard to become good at it. My favorite lecture was by Rodrigo Barros who is a poet, professor and a singer.

He held a beautiful lecture and he sang and played the guitar for us. I just fell in love with the songs. In the evening we all gathered at a park behind a club and had a poetry evening. Again the same professor sang and then a few poets presented their poems. I wasn’t really a fan of their work, wasn’t my cup of tea, but the evening was worth it because of the singing.

I also spend that day with my friend Andrea. We ate some pizza, ice cream, had a drink in the evening and just had a wonderful time together. I really loved spending the day with her. Here’s a few pictures from Friday.

Breakfast and barbecue

I ate too much yesterday. Waaaaay to much. My friends and I had a small barbecue and in the morning, while everyone was still sleeping, I made my boyfriend and me some breakfast. We went to McDonalds last Sunday and he really wanted to try the Mcwrap breakfast tortilla so I gave it a go. It turned out pretty good, pretty tasty, I was proud of myself because I am not much of a cook.

breakfast

The tortilla is homemade and it’s one of the rare things I can do because it’s extremely easy. Some water, flour, salt, oil and tadaaaah. We filled them up with some scrambled eggs, salad, tomatoes and bacon. On the side we have some fruit, a cappuccino and I have to drink my magnesium which tastes awful.

Later that day we had a barbecue. The boys did most of the work. Ivana and I made sure we have something to drink. There was some beer for the guys and some wine for us. I just have to say it was so good. After we ate we watched some TV and in the end we watched Deadpool so I had a chance to see the whole movie and not fall asleep like last time.

Today I have to get down to work because I’ve been procrastinating like crazythese past few days. That’s it for me today, hope you’re having a lovely Sunday. Love you all!
